The Church of England in Wales

Double checking, I really did hear Culture Secretary Maria Miller say this in her interview on the PM Programme on Tuesday: “I was married in a Church of England church, actually in Wales.”

Is that possible?

    Apparently yes! This by email: "Marbury has 3 parishes, one of which is in Wales. At disestablishment the churches on the frontier were given a choice - to remain established but be joined to England or stay in Wales and be disestablished. Some chose the former."
